By Mike Klein

Kingston, MA- Tyler Piacentini scored two goals to lead the South Shore Kings past the Bay State Breakers on Saturday night.

The Breakers took an early lead when James Kline took a pass from Jay Malone and knocked it past Kings goalie Robert Levin just 44 seconds into the game.

Anthony Flaherty tied the game with 10:19 on the clock when he picked up the puck in the left circle and fired it past Breakers goalie Ben Halford.

With 4:20 remaining in the first, Jon Mleczko passed the puck to Dan McGinnis in the right circle and McGinnis sent it to Piacentini, who ripped it home.

Both teams were held scoreless throughout much of the second period, but Gustav Fredrikson put the Kings up 3-1 with 46 left when his shot through traffic was deflected in. Mleczko and Andrew Doane assisted on the play.

Defense again ruled in the third period and the Breakers pulled Halford with one minute remaining, but Piacentini scored an empty-net goal from McGinnis to seal the game. Halford finished with 33 saves while Levin turned away 32.

Next up for the Kings is the Valley Jr. Warriors at 3:00 PM today in Haverhill while the Breakers return to action on Friday at the Junior Bruins Shootout in Marlboro, MA.
