WARMINSTER, PA – The Philadelphia Revolution hosted New York Apple Core on Saturday night at the Rink at Warwick in Warminster, PA.

Apple Core opened the scoring with a power play goal from defenseman Kyle Menges at the 18:47 mark in the first. The Revolution struggled to find offense through the second period as well, as New York pushed the lead to 3-0 with a goal each from forwards Mike Laffin and Rich Prunesti.

Philly fought back in the third with 21 shots on goal. Forward Dane Genord opened the scoring for the Rev at the 1:19 mark in the third. Just over three minutes later, forward James Wallace also found the back of the net for Philly. The Revolution comeback fell just short, as Apple Core sealed the deal with another goal at the 7:24 mark in the third on a goal from forward J.J. Ganss.

The final score was a 4-2 win in favor of New York Apple Core, despite Philly goaltender Steve Thulin’s 41 save effort.
